About
I was born in England and educated there but have lived in Australia most of my life. So I am lucky enough to have dual nationalities, British and Australian. I am based in Budapest, Hungary.
I have worked in continental Europe for some 15 years. In Brussels as an Australian diplomat specialising in public affairs, in Budapest, again at the Australian embassy, and on other work assignments in countries including Montenegro, Germany and The Netherlands where I lived in The Hague and Amsterdam.
I am particularly committed to every aspect of human rights. I have worked overseas with two aid agencies in Hanoi, Vietnam with a hospitality training school for young people with disadvantaged backgrounds and in Chuuk, one of the four States of Micronesia, a fascinating area which features in my book, Where To Go For A Seven-Year Cycle. Its sequel, Painters, Philosophers and Poets Sustain a Seven-Year Cycle was published in May 2022. It features more travel adventures, telling stories of hitherto unknown facts to me of renowned people. both historic and contemporary who influenced my perspectives.
